They''re tutorials that were coded by somebody else, but written up (I think) by Nehe.

Oblix? The closest thing I can think of is oblique which means slanted of diagonal and sometimes used in place of italic. Where did you ever hear oblix?
Obelix is Asterix' pal and Idefix is Obelix' dog. Didn't you ever read comics when you were a child? Or maybe they don't have Astrix comic books where you come from?
