q3ARENA sources

anybody who can help me compiling the Q3Sources ?? tried a lot of id-sources but non of them compiled tried Vc++6 and Vc++7 tell me evrything you know about it .. as I saw its fully in GL... so all you around here should know evrything about it .. dont you ?? thanks for any help ..
The Problem with the q3 sources were that they were released as is! With no explanation code and so on.

As far as the community is concerned the only thing they were really intrested in was how the BSP/VISIBILITY sets worked and doing its collision.

There are q3 clones which are open source and use the q3 content.

I think that would be better for you. I did have a look at q2 and its just 2 much of a mission to make sense of anything since (as expected) a complete game is like 20-50 source code files inter-linked

I would suggest looking at some of the sites that have started working on the code base. http://www.icculus.org/quake3 is one
